A gender-just society is what many of us wish for, but the reality is that we are still very far from such a society. Workplaces are far from being fairly represented by women in every part of the world.

Art forms especially patriarchal art forms like Kathakali has given space to very few women performers. But the backstage of the artform, the workshop was the last of the place where we expected to see women. It was exciting to see so many women artisans working on the background of this mesmerizing art form. Such scenes remind us that every gender is naturally equal and it is we humans who bring in the discrimination.
